STOP THAT POUNDING DAY 12.....

After my initial trip to the ER and 2 subsiquent trips to the doctor my head is still pounding and no one seems to know why.

The good news.... my doctor says it's not life threatening, but coming from someone who doesn't KNOW what's wrong I'm not comforted! My new meds do take the pain away, or I should say mask the pain, but make me a zombie in the process. So it's off to the neurologist to see if they can find anything in there. Frustrating doesn't do justice to how I am feeling right now.

STOP THAT POUNDING...

So out of the blue on Sunday I get this really, really bad pressure/pain running across the back of my head. I've never had a migraine so I figure this could be the first. No blurred vision, no light sensitivity. Any how, after a short nap everything is better. Until about 10 minutes later and WHAM!!! it's back, only far worse. It feels like someone is sitting on my head. I decided that considering the stress I am under it would be a good idea to get checked out. An hour and a half later I am leaving the ER with a script for muscle relaxers and a house on my head.
Now I did not spend countless hours in anatomy class and I most certainly am not a Doctor, nor do I play one on TV, but....
Is it possible to pull a muscle in your head?!??

My daughter called me her hero the other day! This area is set aside for inspirational quotes. I can't think of anything more inspirational than that!!!!

WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE.....

I actually ran last night. Now mind you it wasn't very far, but I RAN!!! I definately could have picked a better day weather wise. It was raining and cold and windy, but boy did it feel good! This is the first time that I have braved elements such as they were. Running in the rain is one of my favs, but running in THIS type of rain I must say was not an immensely enjoyable experience. The first half mile was like getting shot in the face with tiny needles and my hands were numb (forgot the gloves) in no time. Once I found my rythmn, however it went well.
On other fronts, this upcoming weekend is the semi-finals in my fantasy football league. Just one more win to make it to the superbowl, yee haw! It won't be easy though, I have to beat the league champ this week. I CAN DO IT!!!
Sorry not too much to say of late.

Merry Christmas to Tim, Margarita, Janet, Jill, Jayne, Steve, Ken, Matt, Bill, Beccah, Marilee, Angela, Sally, my "team", and to everyone else who has helped me, run with and been a friend to me.
